Hello AgoraCosmopolitan Dating!
Just a brief check-in tonight. I haven't been on much. So many changes in recent months, but the biggest is that I no longer live in Charlotte, North Carolina. I live in Washington DC! A lot of reasons went into making such a change and adjusting to so many things being different. For the most part I like it. I hope to get into a routine that emphasizes my needs and priorities. I hope to place a major focus on my writing and start some art work. I never realized how much I would miss Charlotte and the routines and activities that I had there. But closer to the ocean here!

Good afternoon AgoraCosmopolitan Dating friends/community!
It's Monday. Unhappily, I was sick all weekend. I honestly think it was something I ate at a local restaurant for breakfast Saturday morning. I am only starting to feel better today. NO. FUN. AT. ALL  That said, I've managed to do a bit more today including take a shower. Thank goodness for that! I was starting to not be able to stand myself
I had hoped to have a mini getaway but sickness took over. I had hoped to rent a lake cottage for two nights, three days. It wasn't far from where I live. I really want some beach time but just couldn't wrap my mind around the long drive and heat/humidity. Hopefully I'll get to the beach soon.
I've been doing a lot of reading lately and have finished some good books. I've been staying inside where it's cool and only going outside when I have to. That does get "old" since it's isolating. I like solitude but that's more a choice for me when I'm wanting/needing it. Staying inside because the high heat/humidity makes me ill isn't solitude per sae.
Anyhoo! I expect many of you have been on some good vacations or will be soon. I hope they've been wonderful!

Hi y'all!
Shame on me! I wrote a brief post in May saying I would post in a few days but...here I am in June only following up now I was bogged down by the heat/humidity and was involved in fostering a feral kitten who was a real doll with lots of potential and in need of socialization and care. Phew! She wore me out! She went back to the shelter this weekend and hopefully will soon be adopted into a forever home. I would not have missed having her for the world! (I also learned that socializing a feral kitten is not the glamorous action I thought it would be! It was hard work. Well worth it though).
I have one very sad thing to share. In the wee hours of May 30, 2018 our beloved orange tabby cat died unexpectedly while sleeping. I was torn apart and grieved very deeply that first week. I miss him terribly and expect it will be a journey of good days and bad for some time to come. He was beautiful and exceptionally intelligent. He was my friend and a wonderful companion. There aren't enough tears that could drain my sorrow but there are more than enough tremendous memories to fill me forever. He had a very good life. We loved him dearly and he loved us. His sister misses him terribly so we comfort and love her. They were great friends even though they had their little tiffs. He was the Alpha cat but she gave him a run for the title! I will miss him 4EVER! RIP our sweet baby...
I went to Paisley Park in Chanhassan, Minnesota from April 18th(my birthday!) through April 23rd to the Prince Tribute: Honoring the Life of Prince. Nothing compares! It was an experience of a lifetime. I am including a picture as it is mine, NOT anything owned by any other Prince related entity.
How is everyone enjoying your summer? Well, it is not officially summer yet but soon will be. And it is sure hot enough to be already! Has anyone gone on any great vacations lately or are about to?
Our gardens are doing well thus far. Lots of yummy vegetables! We think a bird recently started building a nest in the birdhouse hanging from the porch ceiling. How Life does go on!

Hello every!
It's been well over months since I wrote on my Blog! I've not been on here much, for different reasons---n of which are dramatic or anything! I thought I'd try to get back to it a bit. I posted new pictures that my FWB took of me. They are indeed sexy! I asked him to take some pics. It was like photo op...it was fun

Good morning AgoraCosmopolitan Dating!
It has been awhile since I wrote a post! I hope this finds everyone well and in good spirits I have been doing well mostly. Life always has its challenges!
I am "at the end, light-at-the- end- of- tunnel" of some of those long drawn out processes that had been going on for months. I will get my bottom partial plate on Tuesday the 6th which will complete many months of dental work. Yea! My health insurance approved the coverage in December for my bi-pap machine. I find it helpful, has made a difference in the quality/quantity of sleep I've been getting.
I got back last week from a trip to New England. I had a wonderful time visiting family/friends (hadn't seen my oldest for a year). My "little one", the nearly two-year-old great granddaughter is a delight. She's quite tiny, blond and blue-eyed. She loves dancing around and is starting to talk. I'm blessed 
I am extremely excited! I have fabulous plans for my 65th birthday! I fly into Minneapolis on my birthday---April 18th---and will be there for the 4 day Celebration honoring Prince at his home Paisley Park! Lots of events and music---can't wait. It's a "once in a lifetime thing" for me and didn't cost that much, considering. Worth every penny!
Right now I'm out of town---again! I'm staying at the beach for the weekend. I need to clear my head about some things (primarily a possibility of cancer in my sister again, she finds out biopsy results next week. I'm working on being positive and praying, which is how she herself is trying to deal with it). I plan to do some writing this weekend.

Happy New Year Y'all!
I decided I wanted to turn my profile back on---at least for now---to wish everyone a Happy New Year! I hope all your holidays were wonderful. Mine were good. I don't have any New Year Resolutions per sae; just continuing to work on goals I recently had established. No major changes since I last wrote. I was approved by my insurance company for a bi-pap machine for my sleep apnea. I've been using it for about 3 weeks and I'm getting comfortable with it and it's going well. This Tuesday I go to the dentist to start the work on my lower partial plate. Yea! Woo hoo! These things have have been a long time coming  Very happy!
I have had some trainings at the Human Society and have started volunteering. I recently trained for fostering so am prepared to foster kittens I came down with a cold a week ago and am still trying to recover from it so won't take any fosters until I'm over that, though.
What has everybody else been up to? Any vacations, new work assignments, new relationships or relationship growth/improvement? Love to hear what's going on with y'all and what's on your horizons!

Hey y'all AgoraCosmopolitan Dating folks!
How's everybody doing? I'm loving this beautiful day, I tells ya! Yesterday was nice too, but not as nice as today! I did some errands this morning and then I've made sure I've been out on the back porch the rest of the time doing thing or another. I've started on a couple of small art projects. I prefer to work outside when I use rubber cement or even paint so days like today are perfect
Have you started Christmas shopping yet, and do you have your Christmas tree up? I've d a little shopping. The tree is up and has the lights on it. I have to decorate it as well as other areas of the house. I have a package to get ready to mail tomorrow. Within the next week to ten days more packages will need to be put together and mailed. The first Christmas Party to attend is this Saturday night. It's an annual and toys are collected to do a toy run for hospitalized . The party is always fun and crowded
I have heduled a dental appt. for January and that's when the work for the bottom partial plate will begin. It's been good to take a break but I'm ready to start again and complete my dental needs!
I completed an online application to do some volunteering with animals in need. Not sure when it will begin but I'm looking forward to it!
I'm getting ready to temporarily shut down my profile until the end of the year. I'll be on a couple more days. I like to take a break this time of year because it's so busy. It's also a time of reflection for me. But I'll write another post---brief---before I shut down.

Good afternoon AgoraCosmopolitan Dating!
I've been off the grid a little bit. I've been traveling a lot in the past three weeks, mostly to Georgia. My partner and I went to Atlanta, and to Peachtree City to visit family for a couple of days and then to Cherokee NC. He had vacation so it was a perfect time to take a mini-trip. Last weekend I went to Atlanta to an event honoring Prince. It was so much fun! I met other Prince fans and it was just the best. I stayed at this great hotel but then went to visit family in Peachtree City again to see a gal pal in Jefferson that I hadn't seen in over a year. All around great times!
I was coming home to Charlotte on Wednesday afternoon...about an hour and a half away from home. The next thing I knew a tractor trailer flatbed who was in the lane beside me came into my lane and sideswiped me! I was lucky I wasn't hurt more than whiplash symptoms! My car received little damage. Somebody was watching out for me. Another driver got the license plate number and reported it---wow! Can't believe it but as I was typing this the witness just called me! I called his number by mistake when I was calling the state trooper this morning. I thanked him and all. Anyhoo! The driver will be responsible for my doctor's visit and repair to my car. But I'm grateful not to have been seriously hurt or killed. An Amen to that!

Hello everyone!
Here it is, Thursday already. The week went quickly for me.
My partner and I were on vacation last week. We had a wonderful time, visiting family and sightseeing in the Atlanta area. We came back through the mountains and had a relaxing time with a little sightseeing. It was good to get home. Unfortunately my partner got ill on Thursday morning and was sick for two days. We think it was food poisoning I felt SO bad for him, thinking that was no way to start winding down on vacation. I curled up beside him on Thursday---as did the cats---and took naps. I had to go for my sleep study that night and was concerned about having to leave him though I knew he'd be alright. Friday was a lazy day: reading and resting. Weekend was also low key. I've been trying to get back on track every since. Tired and aftereffects of not eating healthy and too much car riding. I'm eating better and had exercise today and yesterday. Halloween was fun with all the coming to the door for candy! I love seeing all the , especially the real little ones and giving them yummy candy. It's a joy I had my share of the goodies, too, which I surely didn't need! We got rid of the rest yesterday!
I'm enjoying this gorgeous day! I've spent a lot of time on the back porch today. I had breakfast out here and now I've got my laptop on patio table. I've enjoyed watching the birds drinking from the bird bath. Fascinating...

Hey y'all!
Yep! It's Wednesday. I hope everyone's doing well on this mid-week day, whether or not you work outside the home, have your own business ,etc. I took an early retirement in 2015. Most of the time I'm happy with that. I've done no gardening so to speak in the past many weeks due to high heat/humidity and that's rather depressing. But I've worked on inside projects that needed to be done, so there's that!
I've updated my profile and hopefully it more clearly shows that at this time I'm only on here for the blogging. I appreciate that I have many friends on here. The downside to that is that I don't write often and I don't like that lack of time. I figure if I have friends I should keep in touch. I'm also not able to even meet up for coffee, even though it would be only a meet for friendliness. I just don't have that kind of time. Sorry to all friends that have asked about that!
I'm also satisfied with the ways in which I am attached. That includes some special connections that were mostly chosen a long time ago. And, with a full life in other areas, that is what and who I am! No, my life isn't perfect. But I work on having it be as high quality as I can and try to keep my spirits up. That's my job at this time in my life!
