As many here know, I've been involved in a mystery for about a year now. At this point, I'm unsure if I'm even going to figure things out or not. What I do know is that I've taken steps to protect myself in the event that whomever has targeted me can't hurt me beyond what s/he is doing to my emotional state with all the game playing. Here's the undisputed facts: Last year, I, stupidly, gave out my social security number and other information in order to get a grant. It turns out that was a scam. Also last year, someone knocked out my credit. What I mean by that is every single credit item I had on my report is now...gone. Whether the item was good or bad, I, literally had no credit. There were NO items on my report, other than credit inquiries, past addresses/phone numbers, and past names (been married three times). I did have what most would consider “bad credit” before this, mainly due to unpaid medical bills Last year, I was hacked, and that person(s) fucked with several of my online accounts. Nothing monetary, mainly messing with my personal relationships. And, yes, that includes doing some shady shit on this site before I changed my password. Someone tried to use my credit to get a small business loan. I have placed a freeze on all three credit reporting agency accounts. (I now have good credit due to opening an account and paying on time, so I want to preserve that...ya know?) Every other piece of information or part of the puzzle are things that may not even be connected to what's going on with my credit. Like, the guys who showed up to my house, the ones who worked for a debt relief company, the ones who originally told me that I had a 0 credit score. I don't know if they're involved, who's to say? For those who are wondering, no I didn't contact the company. What am I going to ask them? Hey, someone wiped out my credit, was it you? Come on, even if someone in the company was involved, they sure aren't going to be telling me. Shoot, I don't even know if the hacking and credit wiping are connecting, I'm connecting them mainly based on the time frames coinciding. For all I know, it could be two different people/groups. Lort, I wish I could figure this out, especially now. Guess who I got an email from this morning? The idjits I gave my social security number to; here's the email text: “Due to the pandemic, [redacted] are paying back our eligible taxpayers, to get your grant winnings please send your account number and routing number and the name of your bank as soon as possible. Thank you Ayup If you're wondering, I did answer. I replied I wasn't interested...mainly because I'm curious to see if they will respond to that. It's like I've been telling Nick, I totally get the whole using my credit to get a loan, it's what these fraudsters do. But, who wipes your credit clean? Who does that? I have not had monkey bread in years. I just might have to make one one of these days. I was a victim of a scam a few years ago. I feel for you girl. Since then I have learned and I do not do much on line any more.

Since then I have learned and I do not do much on line any more. Ugh, I'm sorry to read that. Yeah, I've become much more wary after this.
