What is love-bombing?

Have you ever been in a relationship with someone who rained compliments on you all day, every day? Did they text you all hours of the day (and night) and ask what you were doing every time you were away from them? While some people might think these are sweet gestures being done by a partner who is “head over heels” in love with you, these acts can actually be prime examples of a narcissist love-bombing, a psychological tactic all about manipulation.

Do you think "love bombing" is prevalent on this site/

 Adding my voice to the others who are wary of these tactics. Actually, it's not my style, I don't like sappy expressions of endearment or undue attention.

 Most people are more familiar with the terms narcissist, or "gas-lighting", or manipulative behavior. No matter how you slice it, that cake is still called Control.

 As in life there are probably people here who are involved in those types of relationships. Its all about power, control and manipulation. Initially it feels good...like they care sooooo much...but then soon becomes smothering and controlling. A slippery slope~~

yes, it is a form of stalking if the bomber physically stalks...but it seems to be more about control and power over behavior .... ....not sure what recourse someone has in this cyber place .. god! my worst fantasy..being love bombed by a bot ~~

 Goodness, that seems over the top. I had no idea what a love- bomb was.... now I know I have one! He bombshells the hell out of me.

I’m not easily manipulated so we shall see what happens.

I just learned of the behavior...apparently there is a psychological disorder associated with the behavior.... sorry you are in such a relationship....hope you find a way to escape the bombshells .......

I would think it would be... the bombshells become more and more controlling, I guess. It was a peaceful day..adjusting the time-change....
