Guess who got their vaccine today?!

, it was .

So far experiencing a slight limp and I can still kind of see of my right eye.

Am I supposed to be able to taste the color purple??

told the memory loss is temporary....

Shit, forgot what I was doing.

On a more serious note, I did, in fact, get my first COVID-19 vaccine today. So far, so good, no symptoms and my arm isn't even sore at the injection sight. curious to see how I'll feel tomorrow, most of the people I've talked to who have had the vaccine suffered some sort of symptom after both doses.

I guess time will tell.

Wish me luck!

Good feeling to get shot 1, and then shot 2, like we aren't at the mercy of the virus. Looking forward to diner breakfasts!
I'm looking forward to some semblance of normal again, too.

I just had a sore arm with the first shot, but had a fever and exhaustion for 2 days after the 2nd one. I hear that's pretty common with Moderna. The Pfizer has less side effects, it's been said.
It's the second one I'm more concerned with. My best friend was just telling me yesterday she got her second shot and she's been battling sever headaches and muscle fatigue. (She also has rheumatoid arthritis and has recently been through a medical procedure so that might have some play in it.) She ran a fever for about 6 hours but that was minor.

Where did you get that pic of me after I had my first jab?
Seriously though, I was fine with my first one (3 weeks ago) and I'm actually looking forward to my second...but no date yet.
I had absolutely no side effects from the first one, so far. I have my second one set up already, received the text today. I've been told it's the second one that give people the most issues....

Got my second shot today, minor sore arm but nothing else. I was told to wait two weeks for it to reach full effect and then I should be good to go. I hope they are correct as I am so ready to get back to normal.

I got my second dose on the 19th of Feb. So far all is good , not a single off response at all. really not even a sore arm.. I guess when yo get my age you are tough skinned and just don't bother you at all!!!!!
Congrats as a lot are missing the boat and some of these will cause problems in the future..
My arm is only a little tender at the injection site, but I went to the gym and did some arm stuff. I was told to work the muscle and it would help. It did. So far, no other side effects.

    I was tired after my 1st shot, but nothing after my 2nd. And according to the CDC, I should be free to return to work, just waiting for the A-OK from the powers that be. Until I hear something I'm gonna roam the streets, the grocery store, and hit the tan store!!!! happym;
Oh, interesting. You guys quarantined when you got the vaccine. We dont do that here, we still have to work. Employers are expected to be sympathetic and excuse an absence if needed due to side effects.... but nothing else changes. Still have to wear the masks and social distance.

Scheduled for my first shot a week from tomorrow and so looking forward to it. I too will be so glad to get rid of the mask. It give me a runny nose that is worse in cold weather.
Speaking of weather it made it up to 63 here today and was sunny. Make repeat tomorrow. Be happy to get to the beach this summer. So missed it last summer.
I had sinus issues for the better part of the winter because of the mask wearing too.... not to mention the anxiety issues from having it on my face, I tend to feel like I can't breathe for a bit until I get used to it. Unfortunately, we're still stuck with the masks even when we've had the shot in michigan, health department mandate. Oh, and, it was sunny and 49! I saw someone in shorts today, no joke. Lol

BTW - Glad to hear you are side effect free so far! That was one of my biggest worries about getting the vaccine. Hopefully the second dose will be just as smooth for you.

I've heard a lot of different things. I'm an essential worker, so a lot of my coworkers have now had the vaccine... Every one of them had different things happen. A few people had practically no symptoms. I know one person who was off work for 4 days after the second dose. One person had more of a reaction to the first dose than the second dose. It's a mixed bag.

I'll be honest, I lucked out. I'm an essential worker and the pharmacy had vaccines that were intended for recipients that didn't show. In this case, they are offered to employees (essential workers) so they don't go to waste.

Not sure how it's being handled in other locations... But for me it was free. I'm just really happy that so far I am not experiencing any side effects. We'll see what happens tomorrow when I wake up.

Mask restrictions and social distancing have not changed in Michigan, whether you've had the vaccine or not. I did see the news piece on the CDC guidelines, though. I'm looking forward to being able to burn these fucking masks.
