And "Micky"is REAL. those others are just names , and not worth my time much any of my money..
'for entertainment purposes" That is a subjective statement in itself... entertainment for themselves only, IMHO...

Monetizing the parasocial relationship... just the latest in a long line of celebrity grifting. I guess OnlyFans wasn't generating enough dough. Sure there's some toe-curling celebrities out there but it would seem so fake to get a "dear Tickle" message...

Oh look I've got the same pair of pants on!!

I would gladly receive a personalized message from Jules1590

I would pay absolutely nothing to a celebrity for any reason. Their fans make them celebrities, they should be ashamed of themselves for doing this, it's worse than charging for autographs. Geesh, not a grateful bone in their body.

nothing, nothing at all, they mean nothing to me. they don't work for me nor do I for them. I owe them nothing and even if they did it for free i'ld not what it. people can do what they want with their money is there business.

For a personal message nothing, but for an opportunity for a meaningful conversation now that has value. I feel like celebrities say what they are told to say and voice opinions they need to voice in order to stay famous and not be ostracized. A personal message with a visit for the night then that also changes things. O the possibilities

Ni tengo necesidad de pagar por un mensaje por las apariencias... pero como el mundo está patas arriba, habrá personas que eso le resultará agradable...y necesario. Lo lamento por ellos...

Yeah, not gonna pay for a celebrity message
I remember presidents would call me during elections ...and it didn't cost me a penny

Get on Social Media and talk to celebs for free. ICE-T is awesome on twitter

As for celebs who curl my toes... Alexandra Daddario

They are just people too. They may be well known but, I wouldn't pay to talk to any of them .

Some people need validation so badly they will pay stupid money to get it.
Even if I had lots of money to burn, I sure wouldn’t spend it on nonsense like that. Yep, fools and their money are soon parted, and there’s one born every minute if not more often.

Ah well now, your grumpyness......this is a symptom of the reality/celebrity culture in which we live, sadly.

I once asked a famous cricketer to record a wee birthday message for an ex, he was her idol. I offered to pay for it, he said pay £100 quid to a charity (he chose the charity) and he would match it, which he did. Now that was worth paying for, and it was a wee touch of class on his part.

Decent people do decent things. I'm not sure that the majority of today's reality celebrity all fall into the category of 'decent people'.

ps - welcome to my world, McGrumps!!

As you said, there is nothing "personal" about those messages. If they want personal, have them pick up the phone and call the person lol. Thirty years ago [or so], I was in our local mall [small city in New Brunswick, Canada] and Bo Derek was seen walking through it. People noticed her but no one approached her as that's not what we do. She was doing her thing and we were doing ours. My take on celebs is they are just people that happen to be famous for some reason. There are a few female celebs/athletes who would make me go whoa! if I saw them, but no thanks to a "personal" message lol. Show up to my birthday party and jump out of my cake ... now that's personal lol.

Drop in and visit my blog sometime, but you'll probably regret it

I might pay for a birthday greeting from Bernie Sanders to a friend or family member who is a fan of Sanders.

Because I reckon Bernie would put the money towards some practical use helping unemployed restaurant workers, poorly paid domestic workers or similar.

I've noticed pretty much all of Bernie's merchandise - t-shirts, coffee-mugs, whatever - are priced at $27 . . . which is supposedly the amount of his average donation from supporters.

I suppose if he were doing recorded greetings, those would be $27 dollars also. Yeah, I'd pay that . . . for HIM.

I wouldn’t pay for a personal message from a celebrity. I really like Jennifer Aniston because she takes good care of herself and because we are almost exactly the same age. She is just 4 days older than I am.

Funny women are incredibly sexy!

wow... aren't you the lucky dawg? personal presidential phone calls... I bet they want somethin from you don't they?

and what in particular about Ms. Daddario curls your toes?

Yeah, the most powerful man in the free world calling me to check on me and count on my support. I play it to my friends and then ask them, "Sorry, but who was that again?"

Ms. Daddario....oh where to begin.
I am shocked I never made a Celebrity Crush of the day post about her.

She seems has that Girl next door look with the lovely smile and her mesmerizing eyes. She seems down to earth and just always catches my attention whenever she is in a scene.

I would have loved to see her cast as Wonder Woman

Jules, this reminds me of the old P.T. Barnum is credited for saying, "There's a sucker born every minute."

No way would I ever think of wasting money like that.

I am a NON celeb person..... I'm not saying they are not talented at what they do, but they get paid to do it like anyone else. so even FREE I would not want a message from any celeb

NOW if YOU were to provide personalized messages , especially san's grouchy pants... or any pants for that matter .... I would be broke
