When does it stop?
When does it stop? When does the pain of loosing someone you love stop hurting? I've been through the first birthdays, now I'm about to go through the first Christmas. It's been almost nine months, and I miss you so much. |

Time heals all but it does not make it less painful. Our heart goes out to you. Do things that bring you joy and enjoy each day to its fullest.

Thank you.

For some, the pain just doesn't stop. Instead of anguishing heart ache, the loss can affect a person in other ways, as time goes by. So the importance of community. Some think , if they can just find a lover to attach to, but that won't work because they have to mend first. The more people a person has actual sensual [meaning you talk to them, touch, listen] compassionate contact with, the better for a person. This helps to heal a person, helps to get them through loss, and prevent further physical , mental damage.

I am not sure it ever goes away .For me it's not so much pain , but a hole ,a piece missing. You catch yourself thinking "i will phone them or I will stop and see them" ,but they just aren't there. It's a sense of not being real. Hugs.

It never goes away completely...there is still a hole in my heart following Paul's death. It gets easier but there is always something missing. Huge hugs. ~~Anais Nin~~

Some are on here and others i see quite often and have known them for years. Only time will help, it was only a few months ago I lost him, so will take a while.

It will be the first Christmas I won't be sending him a gift. so yes, it might take a lot longer before it feels real.

Thank you for popping in and leaving a comment. For some reason he came to mind last night and I was a mess. I cried myself to sleep, so I know how you feel. I love your idea of one more angel looking over you. I'll try to tell myself that next time I go to pieces.

As the firsts go by, it will be easier each year but they never leave your heart. Be easy on yourself. Cum to my blog and respond. Have a great kissing fun time.

Thank you for your lovely reply. The wound is still far too real, but yes in time it will ease. Here's some for you too.

If you are still hurting after nine months the the loss must have been significant. In which case it's going to last for a good while still. And, TBT, it doesn't ever really stop. You simply learn to live with it. {{{hugsssssss}}} ***********If you have a yen to get" Up-a-Tree," Then it's just a hop-and-a-skip to get down with Meeee !

I think everyone deals with it in their own different ways and on different timescales. But for me, while there is always some sadness there in the background, after a while you tend to find it easier to dwell more of the fond memories, and less on the emptiness. I think if you want to you can help yourself get to that stage quicker by consciously working on it,, but not many people would manage it in 9 months. I hope you work it out though. A very wise person once told me that while it still hurts, the best way to deal with it is to try to be the person they loved.
