You Expect What?


I recently read a blog post commenting about when trying to find a partner/lover/date (however you want to label it) on A F F we have to lower your expectations. I assume that means have lower expectations then we do on other dating, social networking sites and even initially meeting offline in the "real world". I disagree...at least for me. I expect the same intellect, kindness and consideration here as elsewhere, but I also expect something more...not only the ability to perform well sexually, but understanding what women want and appreciate from a sexual partner. You come to a site like this, an atmosphere where sex is discussed openly with few boundaries, and you hope that the people who frequent this site pay attention to what they see and read, and learn from it. In my opinion, if you factor that in...you have higher expectations.

 I really haven't given that issue much thought, but now that you brought it up, I would have to agree. This site does take the sexual element out of the equation, the 800 lb gorilla that is always lurking on the other sites. It feels funny broaching those subjects on the other sites, even when you can feel its undercurrents.

Expectations are higher here because, like you said, there's no guessing about the sex part of the equations. On a vanilla site, meeting someone and having them be clueless about how you are sexually is the norm.... here, if someone is still clueless after meeting, it shows they are incapable of reading or understanding and THAT'S unexpected... and a letdown!

 I would agree with you that since joining AgoraCosmopolitan Dating i do have higher expectation then meeting someone at a club..
