Just have to chuckle. Perception of what someone should look like at a certain age changes as we realize what we used to think was old, isn't so old anymore.

 Amen sister! I sure would appreciate it more if I got a compliment, MINUS the "for your age" part. It would be much more meaningful. It's like....you hear all these beautiful words, your balloon is blowing up as you accept the compliment, then POP"for your age". UGH!

 Actually, having seen you in person, I am inclined to the same opinion. You look a LOT younger than you actually are. This is a testament to your health and how well you have taken care of your body. I've met women that look much older than they actually are, and often it is attributed to health problems stemming from smoking or alcohol abuse.

My advice? Hold your head up high, and thank your admirer, because the truth is, he's one of many that know beauty when they see it.
